Files in this Data Supplement:
Computer-generated animation showing a three-dimensional view of the "bulls-eye" ring of F-actin that appears in the cortex of activated eggs of the surf clam, Spisula solidissima, at anaphase, just before the first polar body forms. Subsequently, the polar body nucleus passes through the center of the ring. The image is constructed from an optical section stack obtained with the Zeiss Laser Scanning System LSM 5 PASCAL, as processed using Zeiss LSM Image Examiner Software.
